Manfred Bene - Tycoon of office and design – pioneering design, mind you.
M B stands for: steadfast, enduring, stable, patriarchal, and unpretentious. More often than not, such men have surprisingly soft hearts. I imagine that earlier industrial captains were of the same mould (and his office building actually looks like a ship standing on a meadow)
My relationship with M B: Many years of colour and materials consulting, the first fabrics in the office, in real colours, with real patterns, made of natural materials, countless collections and elements, redefined over and over again. That changed everything then, in an office world that was designed by men. "Flair" became a sales argument. Mood and atmosphere were suddenly the real products to develop. To see these goals before everyone else, and not to lose sight of them during the day-to-day grind, you need both courage and generosity of spirit.

As an oral surgeon, you’re not really allowed to say that treating a certain patient was a particular pleasure.
In the case of Manfred Bene, though, it is very difficult not to make this claim. His self-discipline, compliance, unwavering friendliness, reliability and thoroughly honest courtesy are but a few traits which contribute to the overall impression he makes.
This was the reason why, years ago, our primarily professional relationship soon became - if I may say so - a friendship full of respect and mutual regard.
I would like to thank the birthday boy for this mutual appreciation and wish Manfred Bene nothing but the best for the next decades – first and foremost good health - and that his contact with oral surgeons may be limited to enjoying a glass of wine together.

Companies are shaped by people. This is particularly true of Manfred Bene. Hands-on, visionary, reliable. A full-blooded entrepreneur in the best sense of the word. My father and Theodor Diener found a dynamic partner in him. One where they had the feeling he was game for anything. Many years of excellent teamwork crossed the board. Manfred Bene is steadfast. It is hard to believe that this vibrant and energetic person has seen 70 springs. Here, too, he sets an example.
