MEDIA INTEGRATION: PLUGBOX
Integration of contemporary presentation and multimedia technology is a must in to-day’s modern, communication-based offices. Rarely, however, are the solutions ap-plied to technical systems and equipment satisfactory. The new Media Room concept by Bene and offers a high-end, integral package that combines furniture, space, technology and aesthetics, resulting in a standard hitherto unknown.

An entire multimedia and presentation structure, integrated into conference furniture in a non-obtrusive and aesthetic way. Laptop connections within easy reach, wher-ever they are needed, allow problem-free connection of up to 16 notebooks. By inte-grating the required network and CAT cables into the table, any excess lengths are perfectly concealed. An integrated projection box holds a video projector. At the push of a button, a sophisticated two-way mirror system projects the desired presentation onto a screen that unfurls automatically.

Media Room – Technical Equipment

• Up to 16 integrated plug boxes ensure simple access to power, CAT and net-work connection
• "Smart Touch Remote Control": Nokia’s 770 Internet Tablet controls up to 16 Media Dock elements, up to 6 relay boxes as well as additional devices such as DVD-player, video and SAT receiver, audio system, projector, lighting con-trol, screens, flat screens, A/C and shading systems etc.
• "Media Dock" provides serial connection of up to 16 elements, forming the Media Room (bus) system for transmission to various output devices
• "Media Port" is the Media Room’s smart control centre
• A credenza cabinet with a screen lift includes the "Media Port" and integrates up to two plasma or TFT monitors up to 32", connecting a DVD player, SAT receiver or audio equipment.
