defined in an Online-Survey of Austrian's "Wirtschaftsblatt"In a competition of Austrian's newspaper Wirtschaftsblattes www.wirtschaftsblatt.at to find the most popular family business in Austria, Bene wins just ahead of Ottakringer.
Online readers of WirtschaftsBlatt had been asked to award points to the firms they like the best, without paying any attention to facts and figures: The Lower Austrian furniture manufacturer Bene won just ahead of the old-established Viennese brewery Ottakringer. The contest for the title of 'Austria's Favourite Family Business' was exciting and competitive right up to the last. The positions between the top two firms were changing on a weekly basis.
Some distance behind the top two contenders, although still in third place, was the underwear retailer Palmers. Behind them came such prominent names as Porsche and Swarovski.
