Claremont wins BCO award for second year running

Interior design and fit-out specialists Claremont Group Interiors has continued a memorable year for the company with an award from the British Council for Offices (BCO) for a landmark scheme in Manchester city centre.

The award, for Claremont’s work on Griffin House for N Brown plc, was presented at the BCO North’s annual awards dinner at the Palace Hotel Manchester on September 17 in the category ‘Fit-out of Workplace above 20,000 sq. ft’. It is the second year running that Claremont has been recognised by the prestigious BCO awards committee.

Griffin House is home to some 700 people occupying around 92,000 sq. ft. of office space. Claremont worked in close partnership with N Brown’s in-house team to create an environment that helped the firm to meet its business objectives particularly in improving the quality of workspace for everyone, improving communications, enhancing individual productivity, improving customer service levels and helping to communicate corporate identity to employees and visitors. The solution encompassed a complete design and fit out of the interior including the supply of stunning, high-end furniture from Bene and K&N.

Commenting on the project the BCO Awards judges said that the scheme ‘provides a good example of what can be done within refurbished office space. There are some innovative uses of space including some external areas. The occupiers took the opportunity to rethink the way they had been working and the fit out appears to have provided them with the change required.’
Va bene!
