Bene Belgium now open.
On November 10th one of the last white marks of Bene's European map was filled.
In the attractive surroundings of the newly renovated Tour & Taxis building in Brussels, one of the most spectacular Belgian development projects in recent times, the official opening of Bene Belgium took place.
The building originates in the 19th Century and is the former postal headquarter of the family Thurn & Taxis, the founders of the European postal system.
In this extraordinary environment, Bene, together with its local partner Office Technology, has furnished the facility management provider FACEO and uses this location as a showroom and base for entering the Belgian office furniture market.
Stefan Geerkens and Emmanuel Paquet of Office Technology have already proven at Orgatec, where they (then still without any showroom) managed to attract 160 clients from Belgium, that they have an excellent network.
For the opening event 370 guests came, and the opening speakers were FACEO director Dirk Vandeuren, the Belgian Minister of Economy Marc Verwilghen, and Manfred Bene.
The Belgian success story meanwhile continues: one week before the opening, BMW Benelux in Bornem was won.
