20x3 projects by young austrian architects
Author: Volker DienstPublisher: Triton
Architecture in Progress was founded in 1997 as a platform for young and progressive architecture in Vienna. Since then, this non-profit organisation with the objective of promoting contemporary architecture organises different discussion events and presentations of architectural work approximately eight times a year. Mostly young innovative architectural teams are invited to present their projects and ideas to a broader public.
The first twenty teams, introduced as a part of the lecture series "Architecture in Progress", are now represented, each with three of their important projects in the German/English picture documentation "20x3".
Volker Dienst, founder and curator of Architecture in Progress and the publisher of "20x3", was able to engage a number of well-known young journalists that belong to approximately the same generation as the architects featured, to contribute texts.
The publication "20x3" reflects the diversity of the young Viennese architectural scene and responds to the growing international interest in the work of these young teams.
