Google is headquartered in California and was founded in 1998 by Larry Page and Sergey Brin. Today, Google processes about a billion search requests per day.

Google’s philosophy of work is quite different from the traditional style of management; more flexible, it lets the employees choose their project and the members of their group. 20% of their working time is designated to their personal project.
This is how Google gave birth to successful projects such as Google Earth or Gmail.

Google’s office embodies this policy of investing in its employees: the aim is to create inspirational environments, to give plenty of freedom and lots of perks such as free massages, food and gym facilities. It responds to the idea that innovative working does not have to be carried out at the desk. That is why the new offices are mainly composed of open workspace, meeting areas, but also breaks out areas which allow flexible and informal working.

Interior Design firm Scott Brownrigg was hired to create one floor of London / Brighton themed office space for 320 people using Bene furniture for all open plan offices, meeting rooms and cellular offices and B-Loose as a consultant and loose furniture for all other areas.
There are also the quirky additions of British red telephone boxes or the beach huts used as meeting areas to invoke the regional location and give a personal touch to a multinational company.

In this way, the complementary collaboration of Bene, B-Loose and Scott Brownrigg gave birth to the new Google office which reflects the philosophy of a young and innovative company.
