Bene wins the Silver Design Award of the Federal Republic of Germany 2009.
Bene’s glass room dividing system “RF Corridor Wall“ has been recognised by the Design Award of the Federal Republic of Germany 2009. Bene is the only Austrian company to receive this most acclaimed design prize.The Design Award is the official design accolade of the Federal Republic of Germany and is awarded by the Design Council. 1240 products from different sectors were nominated this year for outstanding performance in the categories of product and communication design. Companies cannot enter themselves for the Design Award. Out of these nominations, 5 Gold winners and 20 Silver winners – including Bene - were decided by a panel of experts.
"This is a highly technical product and we prevailed against intense international competition, including the consumer products sectors. This success is a fantastic testament of our competence, functionality and design, placing us at the fore of international design," rejoices Thomas Bene, member of the board Bene AG, over the award.
The RF Corridor Wall steers away from vertical profiles and shines with see-through glass surfaces. Only the floor and ceiling profiles that run horizontally have load-bearing functions. Both the technical innovation and the intelligent design of the RF Corridor Wall had already been commended in 2008 with the iF Gold award.
