Bene goes Design

This coming autumn, Bene will be represented at two – in fact, even three – high-end design events: Late next week in London, where the whole city will be devoted to contemporary design for four days, i.e. from September 21 to 24.

During its ten years of existence, the 100% Design has made a name for itself as a first-class design exhibition. On that occasion in West London’s Earls Court, Bene will not only exhibit novel products but also present the outcome of its design competition for young architects and designers. The challenge is to "create a happier workforce". A top-level jury of renowned experts will nominate the winner. Prizes will be awarded during the exhibition on September 22.

East London, the city’s creative quarter, will stage 100%East, the "young" offshoot of the design exhibition. For the second time now, the huge former site of the "Truman Brewery" will become a location for the multi-disciplinary presentation of design firms and emerging talents for all current trends. Pure Austrian Design, a touring exhibition featuring contemporary Austrian design, will showcase highlights of the Austrian creative scene. Bene will take part in the exhibition and fit out the "Austria Lounge", where visitors have a chance to browse books, watch videos or simply hang out. The Internet platform www.pureaustriandesign.com will also be launched on that occasion.

From 13 to 22 October, Bene will venture onto another famous design stage: Interieur in Kortrijk, Belgium. This year, celebrating its twentieth anniversary, this biannual exhibition will be supported by a number of social events. There will also be a competition entitled "Design for Europe". As exhibitors are strictly chosen by a panel of directors, the exhibition is considered exclusive. Bene is welcome. Hello, Belgium!
