New at Bene: Lighting by Nimbus, seating by Magis

First-class brands with high design quality are an essential part of Bene’s product portfolio; they round off the design of office spaces and fulfil all the requirements that are placed on new working environments. Now the office experts at Bene are expanding their portfolio to include lighting from Nimbus, the innovative leader in LED illumination, as well as seating furniture from the design company Magis.

Bene has launched a promising collaboration with its new partners, Nimbus and Magis, in nearly all of its markets, beginning in April 2012. Two brilliant partners who bring technological innovation and striking design to the office as a living space. The trend towards open office landscapes with diverse zones and areas requires sophisticated lighting concepts and products that make a statement. Bene is expanding its comprehensive portfolio with the renowned brands Nimbus and Magis, thereby emphasising Bene’s expertise in holistic, forward-looking interior furnishing solutions.

Nimbus – A Pioneer in LED

LED technology is both energy efficient and forward-looking. LEDs use very little energy yet produce high light performance and a pleasantly warm light. Nimbus was founded in 1987 in Stuttgart and is part of the Nimbus Group. It has established itself as the market and innovation leader in LED interior lighting. The company is the only manufacturer that offers a comprehensive series of LED lighting products that fulfil nearly every illumination need – including at the workplace, with pendant lighting, tabletop and free-standing lights.
Nimbus products are defined by their innovative technologies, pure design, high-quality materials and faultless craftsmanship. The LED lights and illumination solutions are the result of direct and intensive collaboration with architecture. This is how the company has realised over 7,000 LED projects – including several office buildings and company headquarters, such as Unilever’s European centre in Hamburg and the new ADAC headquarters in Munich. Bene has already completed a number of projects with Nimbus: Nimbus luminaires provide great lighting at the Bene flagship store in Vienna, in new showrooms and customer projects. Bene now offers all customers access to Nimbus’s products and services.

Magis – Strong Chairs

The Magis name stands for creative design, the joys of experimentation and new technological refinements in processing a broad range of materials, first and foremost plastic. The Italian company is a pioneer in the use of gas-assisted injection moulding for mass producing design objects.
The company was founded in 1976 and is headquartered in Torre di Mosto outside of Venice. There is a major design laboratory located there in which Magis works together with globally renowned designers. This collaboration results in unmistakable products with individual, expressive design.
Bene is incorporating five product families, chairs and stools, into its portfolio: these include the classic "Bombo", a plastic shell seat designed by Stefano Giovannoni. And "Chair_One" by star designer Konstantin Grcic, with its minimalist lattice structure. Magis seating expands our selection and diversity of products, especially for new office zones such as the cafeteria – and thereby the design options for areas that express a company’s identity and corporate culture.

Bene – comprehensive product portfolio for the office as a living space

By working together with leading brand manufacturers Bene expands and complements its own product portfolio for all of the zones and areas in contemporary offices. "This enables us to bundle the strengths of both manufacturers and dealers", explains Wolfgang Neubert, Executive Board Sales and Marketing of Bene AG, "providing maximum benefit to our customers." By doing so, Bene can meet the diverse requirements of the contemporary work environment. "We can create holistic office designs that promote communication and motivation among employees at work," says Neubert, "with an inspiring atmosphere that has a positive effect on well-being."
