Capital International, Inc. (CII) is the investment manager for the Capital International Private Equity Funds (CIPEF). CII’s private equity investing program dates back to 1992. Their private equity team has invested over $1 billion in 60 investments across 18 countries and 25 sectors.
The company approached Gensler to design their new office space - they needed more space within the same building and were looking to separate various departments for better workflow and structure.
The move took place within the existing building at Grosvenor Place. They wanted a similar space to the existing one, but with many special adaptations. The space itself is a typical mix of cellular and open plan offices.
Bene won the tender process due to being able to offer a solution at the right price, good quality, and we remained true to the brief. We were also able to offer good solutions to challenges in lighting, storage and special glass screens.
Special adaptions included wall mounted storage which had concealed lighting fitted to shine both upwards and downwards onto the desks. Storage units had special domed tops to discourage anything being put on top of them and thus keep the area tidy.
Screens had a special frosted glass top to increase privacy while maintaining transparency. Special flush fronts were fitted to Maine storage units.
