Lift the team spirit with archaic rituals
Well, I am not afraid to admit it – I am a hardcore fan! And I am not the only one... Looking around I can say barbecues are fashionable like never before. Hardly any green space in this country is not used for such activities... One is happy to invite friends, relatives and – to present anything in this relaxed atmosphere – even colleagues.
The archaic ritual around the open fire is – ok, ok! - mostly preferred by men. Playing with open fire may ritualise mastering basic forces; raw meat evokes images of stone age hunting rituals. But not even such sarcastic remarks can lessen the social appeal.
A barbecue literally fires up the team spirit among co-workers. The aim is to guard the fire and barbecue food, to exchange recipes about the right staining quality and discuss cooking details – the office band gathering around the hearth. Team building helps to strengthen the bond...

Well, those who can't do without burnt meat pieces, will even condone barbecuing with co-workers. Team building around the open fire may be a recent trend but it could also reveal new insights...
Is the master of the barbecue indeed a good co-worker? Does one get to know their colleagues better by exchanging secret barbecue recipes? Hardly, as those who keep the fire hot, do not necessarily have to keep things boiling at the office; and only because someone serves good sausages does not mean they also deliver good work...
Besides, I am not curious about who can eat most chops or mash their baked potatoes most elaborately! Moreover, I actually believe: It could leave a bad taste in your mouth – and not necessarily because of the briquettes...
