Everything must come to an end. Despite prolonged service life and durability, even the T-platform must clear its desk at some point. Even then it is kind to the environment because its components, as with most Bene products, can be sorted into separate waste streams and easily recycled or disposed of. The Bene environmental management system ensures that waste prevention starts at the design stage and in procurement—only environmentally friendly materials are used. We avoid using problematic chemical substances, such as halogenated solvents, PVC, heavy metal pigments and substances with a carcinogenic or genetically harmful effect. Our environmentally friendly approach to waste recycling starts with optimising wood and metal cutting during production. Wood is re-used or recycled to produce heat, metal filings are separated out. Careful maintenance prolongs the life of Bene’s furniture. In order to extend product lifespan and reduce waste, replacement parts can be supplied up to ten years after the initial order. Potential recyclables make up the majority of waste volume. Waste sorted into separate waste streams is passed on to professional waste specialists. Only about 0.2 % of waste is hazardous. We collected empty printer and copier toner cartridges and donated them to the "Red Nose Clown Doctors".
