Bene Office Furniture

PURE SOURCE

Monitored sustainability from tree to office.

For Bene, environmental consciousness begins at the design stage and in the selection of raw materials. With a materials share of 60 % we hold natural wood in particularly high regard. Bene only uses chipboard from woods from Central European forests.

The Waidhofen/Ybbs site is located near the most densely forested region in Austria. This ensures shorter transportation distances and lower toxic emissions during delivery.

Compared to industry norms, the high proportion of wood used in the manufacture of Bene office furniture will save the output of 28,000 tons of CO² per annum for the next 15 to 20 years.

This is the equivalent of some 145 million car kilometres, or of 5 000 cars with an annual mileage of 29 000 km each being taken off the road. (basis for calculation: 150 g CO² / km). Bene’s own high environmental standards also apply to our suppliers. We have detailed requirements for the material composition of both raw materials and semifinished parts.

Technical improvements have optimised our materials usage related to turnover.
