SCHÖNER WOHNEN honours home office desk X-PRESS
Flexible, smart, innovative: the folding desk
X-PRESS by the international office furniture manufacturer Bene gives room for creativity and enables the individual design of the workplace and one's own workflow. Its filigree, airy and elegant design language is combined with clever features and shows what design for working and living at home looks like. A unique piece that fits into any living space - inspiring, homely, functional and with unique aesthetics.
For this extraordinary versatility, X-PRESS has now been awarded the BEST OF DESIGN AWARD by SCHÖNER WOHNEN. With this award, the renowned magazine for interior design honours outstanding design from various areas of furnishing. The award also takes into account aspects such as sustainability, ergonomics or functionality of the respective product. In the "Office" category, the editors selected Bene's folding table as BEST OF DESIGN 2022.
Big thoughts in a small space
X-PRESS was created by designer Christian Horner for the BENE FOR HOME collection, which takes up the changing demands of the working world and enables hybrid models between office and homeworking. Bene thus transfers its many years of design expertise and conceptual know-how in office matters to the home and the new possibilities in the home office. "With its reduced design language and details such as the 'railing' at the head end of the tabletop or the storage net under the tabletop, X-PRESS creates a micro-space for creative working that can be individually furnished and always looks tidy," explains Christian Horner.
The manoeuvrable folding table is characterised by its straight-lined, slim design that blends into any ambience. Different colour combinations of melamine tabletop and powder-coated steel frame leave room for stylish ideas. At the same time, it adapts to any space requirement, can be set up in a few simple steps and, when not in use, disappears just as quickly into a small niche. The three locks, which allow the height to be adjusted according to individual needs, are practical and ergonomically well thought-out.
Functional and strong in design
The product portfolio of BENE FOR HOME includes unique design tables, comfortable chairs or practical, sustainable accessories for workplace organisation - the home office products convince with sophisticated functions, flexibility, durability and ergonomic features as well as with a consistently style-conscious design language, for which renowned designers such as Christian Horner, Thomas Feichtner or the London studio Pearson Lloyd are responsible. Bene manufactures exclusively at the Waidhofen an der Ybbs site in Austria. Because quality made in Austria, regional structures and sustainable thinking characterise the company just as much as its high standards of design and functionality.
