Bene, one of the leading companies in the European office furniture industry, recorded very positive results for the 2018 financial year in both Austria and Germany – its largest markets. Last year the international office interiors specialist completed a large number of projects of all sizes and is beginning 2019 full of optimism, with plenty of projects in the pipeline.
Bene operates widely throughout Austria and Germany, with an extensive product portfolio suitable for projects of all sizes; in 2018 these included RHI Magnesita in Vienna and Scout24 in Munich. Although in Austria, Bene traditionally sells only through its own exclusive retail branches, in Germany it trades very successfully through hand-picked dealerships, supported by company locations in Berlin, Frankfurt, Hamburg, Cologne and Munich.
One successful example last year was a project completed in collaboration with the consulting firm Inter-Pool, for an open office design concept that also includes plenty of options for privacy, for the new head office of RHI Magnesita GmbH in Vienna. For an area of around 7,000 m2 Bene supplied 470 electric height-adjustable workstations, and furnished a large number of meeting rooms and communication zones, using Bene products and Bene expertise.
In collaboration with the interior architects at combine Design, Bene developed an innovative concept for the new head office of Scout24 in Munich. In a total area of around 8,000 m2 across three floors, Bene’s furnishing concept includes flexible and modern layout solutions that support the cross-functional work of the young, international Scout24 team. When designing the workstations, the focus was on comfort, functionality and a modern technological infrastructure. Once again Bene’s furnishing solutions demonstrate that functionality need not conflict with the creation of space for inspiration.
In order to maintain and develop its strong market position in Austria and Germany, Bene is planning not only to invest in the latest production technology, but also to continue inspiring customers with functionally sophisticated and design-oriented product solutions. In Germany, Bene will be expanding its sales structure – which depends equally on qualified specialist dealers and on direct sales to key accounts and major clients – with additional trade partners, carefully selected to suit the brand’s high quality standards. "Germany is Bene's core market in addition to our home market of Austria. It is clearly highly relevant for us, and we feel Bene has major potential for growth here. The large number of completed projects, with many more in the pipeline for 2019, demonstrate that we are well positioned for further growth in Germany, and encourage our belief that we can reach our ambitious targets,” says Michael Fried, Bene’s Executive Board Member for Sales, Marketing and Innovation, who is very optimistic about Bene’s expansion in Germany.
