Bene improved its sales by 12% to EUR 151.4 million and even increased the EBIT at an above-average rate of 27% to EUR 9.3 million in the 2018 financial year. The office furniture expert seamlessly continued this positive trend in the first quarter of 2019 and set a solid foundation for continuing its steady growth in the coming year by executing international framework agreements.
Bene, one of the leading companies of the European office furniture industry, is the first Austrian company to achieve certification under ISO 38200, the new standard recognising a monitored chain of custody for wood and wood-based products, cork and lignified materials.
For the eighth year running, the Architects' Darling® Awards celebrated the most admired products and solutions in the building industry. Society, politics, economics and thus our entire working lives are changing rapidly. The current trends and their impact on the working environment, their practical implementation options and approaches to satisfy the growing need for simplification were the topics discussed by the international office furniture specialist Bene last night during an exclusive event in the Bene Showroom in Wallisellen. The event was spearheaded by Patrick Benz, who became Bene’s Country Manager this May.
As never before, rapid change is globally affecting every aspect of our society, politics, economy and consequently also our working lives. As part of a large-scale study, Bene has conducted interviews and discussions with more than 40 international experts in order to identify current trends, give brief descriptions of them, and present an overview of their potential impact on working environments. Bene recently published the results of this research project as the Future of Work Report 2018 and discussed them last week as part of an exclusive event in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, with around 50 invited designers and consultants.
Following the iF DESIGN AWARD in March 2018, STUDIO by Bene has now also been awarded the Red Dot Award, the renowned German design prize. The latest workplace system from the Bene think tank convinced the international expert jury with its carefully thought-out and innovative design. This means that, as of today, STUDIO by Bene bears the winning label "Red Dot Award: Product Design 2018".
