Clerkenwell Design Week 2019

Bene London celebrated this year’s opening of Clerkenwell Design Week (CDW) with first night party attended by over 300 invited guests. CDW, the world’s largest independent design festival took place between 21st and 23rd May in London. It has been a meeting point for the international architecture and design scene for the last 10 years now. During the three festival days more than 1,000 people visited the Bene showroom.

Hotspot Clerkenwell Design Week 2019

The Clerkenwell district is a hotspot of the international creative scene – more architects and companies from the creative industries are represented there per square mile than in any other place in the world. Each May, Clerkenwell Design Week presents this creative community with numerous showroom events, exhibitions and special installations. The three-day festival attracts around 35,000 visitors every year – mainly architects and designers – from over 70 countries. The event concept allows more than 90 international brand showrooms in the high-end furnishings sector to play an active part in festival activities.

STUDIO Workbench launch

With its London flagship store, Bene has been represented in the Clerkenwell design district for 20 years. Bene’s London showroom presents inspiring office settings in a space of 780m², demonstrating how to boost a company’s innovation processes with creative office solutions. In addition to showcasing classic Bene furniture ranges, such as PARCS and TIMBA, the launch of the new STUDIO Workbench took place during Clerkenwell Design Week.

The STUDIO Workbench encourages the communication and interaction of team members. Expandable to up to eight workstations in a space-efficient layout, it complements the STUDIO product family. The iconic shape of the SWING table legs makes a design statement in any room. With STUDIO accessories, the working environment can be designed according to individual needs.

PIXEL in action

Another highlight were the different PIXEL settings. The visitors were able to try out the numerous applications of the PIXEL boxes and get a hands-on experience of their own. PIXEL as a flexible shelf could be seen next to an area with PIXEL as a table as well as a small PIXEL ideas workshop with an IDEA BOARD – a multimedia work surface with a touch display. The PIXEL Tower on wheel tray showed how compact the PIXEL boxes and trays can be tidied up, stowed away and transported.

On the evening of the first festival day, these multi-faceted PIXEL settings were rebuilt into a PIXEL bar and bar tables. True to the motto: "PIXEL Build Your Ideas", the guests could end the inspirational festival day in a relaxed atmosphere.
