Wood Co-Creation Design

This edition of our Office.Info newsletter is all about wood: Versatile and warn, this material is more and more sought after – both for our homes and offices. But what makes wood so fascinating? We try to find out in our leading article.

Some of the most beloved wooden classics were definitely designed and developed at the Republic of Fritz Hansen: Founded in 1872 by the carpenter Fritz Hansen, this Danish company is today known all over the world. We spoke to Jacob Holm, President and CEO of Fritz Hansen about Danish design and what it is that makes employees creative.

Fritz Hansen was a carpenter and craftsman, and a very good one as well. Reason enough, to examine this profession a little closer – in our series “Work in Progress”.

Wood, or timber, also plays an important part in our newly launched furniture: The TIMBA Table as well as the TIMBA Stool (designed by PearsonLloyd) use wood as a defining design feature. If you want to know, what TIMBA looks like, and why it is the perfect furniture for teamwork and co-creation, read “Team trumps all”!
