PARCS travelled all the way to Australia to help kick off the opening of the Kvadrat showroom. This was a worthy stage since Kvadrat is the most important supplier of the fabric that gives PARCS products the perfect look.
In podium discussions, the Wing Chair has been cutting an elegant figure - last seen in Bella Italia.
In a Dusseldorf film studio, PARCS not only played a major role, but also one involving dialogue: The furniture warmly welcomes the interview guests and evokes the name of the studio with cubic shapes.
In Vienna, PARCS offers books and readers a comfortable place to sit. And not just anywhere – in the Vienna Secession! The Secession was built in 1897/98 by Joseph Maria Olbrich as an exhibit building for contemporary art, and it still fulfils that function today. The Secession is one of the most important buildings of Vienna's cultural heritage in the Austrian Art Nouveau style.
It is not that far from Vienna to Brno, and there have always been strong Art Nouveau links between these cities. In Brno, PARCS has taken up residence in the Design Café and is awaiting guests: Beyond the culinary offerings, the Wing Chair is now the primary object of attention. The owners claim that many guests specifically want to sit in these sought-after wingback chairs, and they are generally the first ones filled.
Comfort while sitting and working is of course important for the railroad as well, which is why Deutsche Bahn relies on PARCS. In its new Berlin office, various arrangements of PARCS elements can be found on all floors. The main Berlin train station build by the architects at GMP (Gerkan Marg and Partners) is the largest and most modern central station in Europe. In the two towering gantry-type structures of the complex opposite the above-ground tracks for the Berlin city railway, a new office building was erected for Deutsche Bahn AG.
Siemens City, the new corporate centre of Siemens Austria in the north of Vienna, sees itself as an active centre for research and work. The new parts of the building were opened in 2010. Around 3,000 Siemens employees are accommodated in this new, modern and comfortable work environment. Flexible workstations and roomy communication areas form the basis of a new approach to work and living for the new millennium. Attractive elements of the PARCS system can be found in the foyer and various communication zones where all its facets are put to use.
The new "Viertel Zwei" is located near the green park area of the Prater, the stadium and trade-fair grounds in Vienna's second district: The office and residential buildings with green spaces and a lake offer the ultimate in architecture and quality of life. Unilever has already moved into one of the office buildings with a panoramic view of the park and trotting course. In the office, PARCS both divides and unites workplaces to produce areas for communication, for rest, and for recreation.
We are looking forward to many new, exciting and challenging projects that use the PARCS system. The furniture collection has demonstrated both versatility and effectiveness.
