Flexible interior design for futuristic thinking

ConsenSys is the leading software developer in blockchain technology. From developer tools to enterprise solutions, ConsenSys builds decentralised blockchain infrastructure and facilitates applications of the cryptocurrency Ethereum for new economic systems that are more open, efficient and secure. For Joe Lubin, the founder of the company, it is clear that blockchain technology will play a crucial role in shaping and transforming the future of global economic processes.

It is equally clear that this future-oriented company also needs an office environment that is fit for the future. One that is as flexible as possible. One that encourages open thinking and allows a wide variety of configurations to meet all sorts of requirements.

The design brief was to ensure maximum flexibility to quickly transform the space from a typical open plan working environment in to a “town hall” style setting - for largescale presentations and events. Patrick Wilding of CBRE fulfilled the brief in every way with his creative concept, ensuring that flexibility of the space was achieved via smart access to power and data from above, as well as through his selection of agile furniture solutions. PIXEL by Bene was a fundamental component in realising this vision.

Maximum flexibility is just what PIXEL by Bene offers. The idea is simple but brilliant: these unfussy pine plywood boxes combine to create setups for a variety work situations and scenarios, such as presentations, creative workshops, or brainstorming sessions. Even though PIXEL may look like just a box, it can also be a table, workbench, seating, shelving, a presentation platform or even a bar for when entertaining.

Or in other words: PIXEL is the flexible module that creates spaces for new, big ideas – such as further developments in blockchain technology, for instance.

PIXEL by Bene was a key element to achieving this flexibility as it not only formed flexible workstations but once reconfigured created the townhall seating for presentations and townhall events. The Bene team provided excellent service and knowledge of their products which was the key to fulfilling the brief achieving the client’s requirements.
