The Norddeutsche Landesbank Luxembourg S.A. was founded in 1972. The bank is a fully-owned subsidiary of Nord / LB in Hanover and employs over 220 people. Their business fields include private banking, loan financing, financial markets.
For the new office building, the client requested an office design that was tailored to their needs. Group offices were created with a uniform wall system in single and double glazing. Sound absorption requirements were higher for customer areas to make sure that discretion is guaranteed. To match the interior design concept, the glass partitioning in the management and meeting areas is backed with a rosewood-look film on one side and lacquered in RAL colour on the other. Coordinated, representative materials and colours were particularly important in this area. In general, a limited selection of furniture had to function for all levels of the hierarchy. Furthermore, top-quality furniture was requested, despite strict budget limits for the project.
For a project of this size, it’s particularly important to have a balanced cost-benefit analysis, based, for example, on intelligent space utilisation and the choice of furnishings. Bene made the symbiosis of functionality and design possible.
