Hong Kong based WuXi Biologics are a leading global open-access biologics technology platform providing end-to-end solutions to empower organisations to discover, develop and manufacture biologics from concept to commercial manufacturing.
WuXi Biologics’ new biotechnology facility at the Dundalk Science and Technology Park in Ireland, is focused on manufacturing MAB/Recombinant Protein; man-made proteins that act like human antibodies in the immune system. The extensive campus, situated North of Dublin, includes buildings for manufacturing, warehousing and all supporting functions.
Bene Ireland was chosen by WuXi Biologics as the sole furniture supplier and worked directly with the client, and their architect Scott Tallon Walker, to design and provide a comprehensive solution for all their office, meeting and staff recreation areas.
Classic Bene furniture programmes were selected for the office areas, including elegant FILO tables and chairs for all meeting and boardrooms, homely TIMBA furniture for private business boxes, and electronically height adjustable LEVEL Lift Twin desks for open plan team areas.
Individual LEVEL Lift desks were also selected for the executive cellular offices, paired with Kloeber Cato and Mera Diamond Task chairs, to ensure a consistent design theme throughout the working areas, as well as to offer all employees complete ergonomic freedom.
A key requirement of WuXi Biologics for the new office building was to enable greater communication between employees and teams, and to create a professional and modern environment for customer facing meetings. Bene provided a variety of loose furniture solutions for these areas, including PARCS Causeway, PARCS Wing and PORTS Lounge chairs, Settle and COFFICE sofas - all fabric upholstery was selected to complement WuXi Biologics’s bright and bold corporate colour palette.
In addition, furniture pieces from a variety of Bene Ireland partner brands, including Capdell, Guilio Marelli and Viasit, were selected and blended throughout the collaboration zones. Brunner, Casala and Pedrali tables, chairs and stools were specified in recreation and training rooms.
