The COVID-19 pandemic has once again significantly changed the way we at Bene see the office. Uncertainty is increasing profoundly, both in our personal lives and our professional environment, and the future is less predictable. The global pandemic and the spread of remote working brought with it have both accelerated the digitalisation of organisations and changes in the way we lead at a significantly faster pace than anticipated before the pandemic. Aspects like collaboration and interaction are becoming more visible again and will gain greater importance in the post-pandemic world of work.
Remote working and home office will remain relevant as an integral part of the office landscape, even after the pandemic. At the same time, the pivotal role of the office is being reinforced. More than ever, it is becoming the social hub of a company.
In cooperation with experts, a unique office prototype for working with and according to COVID-19 was created. The working world must now prepare itself for the return of employees in the best possible way, while observing all necessary hygiene and protective measures.
The office is the physical core of an organisation, the heart of a company. Much like a port where people, ideas, and projects come together. A space where spontaneous social interaction – the seed for creativity, ideas and relationships – does not need to be organised. A space for collaborative and agile work, where shared management and fluid leadership can evolve. A space that transports the spirit, the Corporate Identity, of a company: This includes in particular the culture that forms the core of the company and unites the organisation at its heart – in the “core”.
Innovative technologies and smart room solutions ensure safety throughout the premises. This starts at a terminal in the check-in area with a temperature screening and registering for GDPR-compliant contact track and trace.
After temperature measurement, registration and contact-free hand disinfection, the system gives the green light...
...to lead the visitor to a previously selected and cleaned workplace.
The spatial concept is open and flexibly designed. Anchor points, in the form of furniture, are clearly placed in collaboration areas to ensure appropriate distancing.
The room configurations are designed in such a way that they can be adapted to changing needs at short notice, giving the office breathing space. In addition, moveable partition walls and shielding elements can be used as protective barriers.
With the ideal mix between open spatial structure and protected areas, “THE CORE by Bene” manages the balancing act between distance and teamwork so that people feel comfortable and can work creatively at the same time
There is a wide choice of spaces for projects and teamwork: In addition to the team workspace and an informal meeting area, other areas enable spontaneous stand-up meetings and – in conjunction with the Idea Lab as a flexible workshop and project space – ensure an optimal exchange of ideas.
The office is a living organism that is constantly evolving and adapting to changing structures and the latest processes in a company or team.

THE CORE by Bene makes it possible not only to work in a relaxed manner in a holistically designed and safe working environment, but also to find the right place for each activity. The space also helps us to keep learning every day. Thanks to the built-in sensor technology, we can regularly analyse the use of the spaces in order to determine which areas in the space are particularly popular and which are not heavily frequented.
This helps us to gain new ideas for the design of our clients’ spaces and to make changes to our own space to make it ever more efficient through adjustments.
