Bene launched two new products simultaneously in Cologne at a special exhibition titled THE WORK NOW.Office: PORTS Chair and STUDIO Chair. Attractive, versatile and comfortable – the PORTS Chair brings not only elegance, but also a convivial atmosphere to the office. The STUDIO Chair, on the other hand, combines comfort, perfectly harmonises functionality with aesthetics.
This premium chair complements the popular PORTS design line from this specialist in furniture for working environments. A choice of different base frames and wide range of fabric colours allow for numerous individual configurations. This makes the PORTS Chair ideal for contemporary office environments – or as a dining chair for the home.
PORTS inspires collaborative work and productive interaction: these products generate an open atmosphere, encouraging creativity and a sense of community. As a multifunctional furniture system they adapt flexibly to changing requirements and are suitable for a wide range of spaces and situations. Bene’s PORTS Chair is a logical addition to this product series, which was designed by the highly-respected London studio Pearson Lloyd. The new chairs fit harmoniously into the overall modular design concept. Together with the PORTS Sofa and PORTS Lounge Chair, they create seating landscapes that are both comfortable and aesthetically appealing.
This elegant premium chair has an upholstered seat shell and integrated armrest, ensuring superior comfort and allowing many different uses. The PORTS Chair is available with a four-leg base in natural oak, oak volcano (stained black) or black powder-coated steel. Numerous different configuration options ensure this designer chair can be tailored to the varying needs of modern offices and easily integrated into holistic design concepts.
In the version with a four-star base, the PORTS Chair is also impressively versatile: it works well as a conference chair or a dining chair. The base frame can be fitted with either glides or castors. The integrated height and seat tilt adjustment adapts to different positions.
With Studio Chair, Bene has created a range of chairs that perfectly coordinate comfort, functionality and aesthetics. Flexible options for combining frame and backrest materials ensure the Studio Chair can be used in many different areas, from the workstation to the cafeteria, supporting individual working styles and lifestyles.
To create the design concept, Bene worked with the Austrian, internationally established product designer Thomas Feichtner. The Studio chair collection exemplifies his striking, purist signature style: its attractive design concept combines clarity, precision and authenticity. The starting point for the minimalist, elegant forms of the Studio chairs is two adjoining pieces of moulded wood: the backrest and the seat are formed separately and joined by an ingeniously constructed wooden connector. This is the defining feature of the design, and also gives a pleasing flexibility to the backrest. The ergonomic shape of the STUDIO Chair ensures optimal seating comfort and supports good posture.
Four different frames, each in white or black, can be combined with two different backrests and a seat shell – with or without upholstery. This allows plenty of design scope and enables a consistent design concept throughout. Whether they are used as a welcoming visitor’s chair, cafeteria seating or a comfortable seat for the office and home office – these chairs adapt to the style of their surroundings and their function. Available with a four-star base, glides or castors, the Studio Chair lends itself to flexible and versatile use. It offers plenty of room to move and integrates dynamically into any situation. The seat height is easy to adjust, and the broad, upholstered back is also very comfortable. The versions with runners or the 4-leg base can also be stacked to save space.
