Bene presents special exhibition during week of the ORGATEC 2024

In a time when environmental awareness and resource conservation are in focus, Bene makes a strong statement for innovation with LOVE IT. LEAVE IT. CHANGE IT. The special exhibition will be on display from October 22 to 25, 2024, at the Bene Showroom in Cologne as part of ORGATEC week, combining aesthetics with functionality and sustainability. It demonstrates how concepts like the circular economy will significantly influence our future living and working environments. Through the circular model, materials and products can be kept in use longer, utilizing resources more efficiently and minimising waste.

The Exchangeables

At the heart of the exhibition, realised by Bene together with partners Louis Poulsen, Kvadrat, and QLOCKTWO, are THE EXCHANGEABLES: products that can be effortlessly and independently changed, renewed, and adapted to individual needs. The combination of interchangeability, reduced material usage, and longevity makes them a vital contribution to the sustainability of our lifestyle. Each partner brings its expertise, showcasing how environmentally conscious design can look in their respective fields - lighting, textiles, and clock design.

Modular, flexible, and easily separable by material

Bene is introducing a series of exciting new products. Among them is the freestanding, room-defining system POINTS: designed according to a modular principle, it creates zones and moods as needed with ease. Similarly adaptable is the modular sofa system COOMO, featuring a novel cushion design. Created by the Swedish Design Studio, Form Us With Love (FUWL), known for innovative and functional design, the goal here was to minimise material usage and ensure that all elements can be exchanged at any time. At the end of its lifespan, all materials can be separated by type and returned to the material cycle. The ergonomic office swivel chair EQUO is also flexible and durable, with heavily used components that can be removed, cleaned, and replaced without tools, significantly extending the chair's lifespan.

Comfort meets sustainability

The modern café chair NOOVO combines comfort and elegance with revolutionary internal values. In collaboration with the design studio "Form Us With Love," it is the first chair made from 100% recycled polypropylene plastic - without the addition of glass fibres. This mono-material remains pure and makes a significant contribution to sustainability. Equally comfortable and eco-friendly is the new chair family B_WAVE, which offers versatility with various configuration options such as a wooden shell, removable seat pad, or full upholstery. Once again, the materials used are interchangeable and recyclable.

More solutions for the office and home

New additions include the PANEL RACK and the NFC LOCK: The PANEL RACK is a modular shelving system designed for room structuring. The distinctive mix of open and closed modules creates diverse sightlines and adds a dynamic touch to spaces. Different functions can be combined within a single piece of furniture by arranging various modules together. The NFC (Near Field Communication) Lock allows personal belongings to be stored in LOCKER_S easily and securely. The digital lock operates without the need for cables or batteries, using a mobile phone as both the key and power source.

Louis Poulsen - LP Slim Acoustic

In collaboration with BuzziSpace, Louis Poulsen ventures into the field of acoustic lighting. By combining the Slim series with a padded acoustic foam core developed by BuzziSpace, the Danish lighting manufacturer has designed a special series of acoustic lighting products where form and function blend seamlessly.

Kvadrat Really - Textile Tabletop™

The recyclable Textile Tabletop™ combines circularity, durability, and aesthetics. With the high-quality, fully circular technical material for office tabletops, Kvadrat Really is advancing the transition to a zero-waste future. The Textile Tabletop™, made from old textiles, features a transparent melamine surface and oak edges. Additionally, it meets the highest standards of quality and durability.

QLOCKTWO - EARTH and MOON

QLOCKTWO EARTH and MOON capture the magic of time, making it tangible without numbers and digits. The EARTH CREATOR'S EDITION RUST reflects the flow of time on its handcrafted steel front, refined through a unique rusting process. The CUSTOM COLOR pieces embody vibrancy and can be individually customized in colour. The MOON MIDNIGHT MOON GOLD represents the progression of a lunar cycle from full moon to full moon in perfect aesthetic form.
