The Burkhalter Group is a leading provider of cross-trade building technology in Switzerland and the Principality of Liechtenstein. Their services encompass heating and cooling technology, ventilation and air conditioning, sanitary engineering, and electrical engineering. Around 5,200 employees, including 970 apprentices, are employed across 158 locations.
Change process
The new office in Zurich was planned and realised together with the interior designers from Beyond Design. In addition to the planning and creative construction management, Beyond Design accompanied the entire change process: Ongoing employee information sessions were conducted, interviews analysed, office rules developed and feedback evaluated and implemented. Central elements include the installation of kitchenettes and a cafeteria, generous space and a harmonious colour concept.
Cafeteria
The new, inviting cafeteria features round PARCS Club Tables with a distinctive foot cross. The LEVEL Pure Meeting High Table enables shared lunches and dynamic meetings while standing, promoting communication and interaction. The space is complemented by the modern LOFT Storage shelf, which acts as a room divider and supports open structures. The comfortable SETTLE Sofa ensures a pleasant atmosphere.
Training rooms
The training rooms are equipped with the STUDIO High Table system, ideal for informal meetings and spontaneous discussions. The flexible TIMBA Stool with a rotating seat promotes freedom of movement and creativity in team zones.
Meeting rooms
The LEVEL Pure Meeting tables offer stability and durability, optionally complemented by smart cable management.
The FILO Conference Table stands out with its elegance and modular design, complemented by the comfortable FILO CHAIR, which offers flexibility and support for long meetings. The STUDIO shelving system completes the room with modular storage solutions.
The FLEX folding table is space-saving and features a practical opening and locking system for the tabletop, as well as wheels with brakes.
Workspaces
The workspaces are equipped with ergonomic LEVEL Pure Lift desks, which can be adjusted in height electrically. T-Panels provide visual and acoustic shielding and structure the office. The CT Containers ensure order and offer additional seating for brief conversations.
Storage solutions
K2 storage solutions offer physical storage, design elements, and acoustic effectiveness, optionally equipped with green plants in the Planter Boxes.
The renovation of Burkhalter Services AG has created a modern and attractive working environment that promotes communication and collaboration.
