Dataport is a central information and communication service provider for public administration across several German federal states. Headquartered in Altenholz near Kiel, the company is dedicated to driving the digital transformation of the public sector. It offers a wide range of modern IT services for government agencies, including data protection and security concepts, administrative applications, as well as training and education programs. For its Bremen branch, Dataport has revitalized Speicher II, located in the former tobacco district of Bremen. In collaboration with the architecture firm Lübs und Brendel, Bene created open office structures that blend seamlessly into the historic warehouse building.

The former tobacco storage facility has been transformed into an open space that combines traditional workstations with meeting spots and comfortable lounge zones. The spatial concept fosters a dynamic environment that supports day-to-day work and flexibly adapts to the diverse needs of employees. The central areas of the open space encourage exchange among small and large teams, while the light-filled strips along the windows are reserved for individual work.

Several communication spots are furnished with TIMBA Table High and TIMBA Stool High. The informal character of these ensembles creates an atmosphere of ease and informality. The same applies to the various lounge settings: the CASUAL series by Bene exudes relaxed elegance, with the CASUAL Bench and CASUAL Table offering inviting spots for a laid-back coffee break.

Those seeking privacy – for a video call or a phone conversation – can retreat to one of the many NOOXS Think Tanks. With their sound-absorbing properties, these glazed booths offer an effective solution for focused work, even in a busy office environment. Large, stylized lettering on the glass surfaces highlights the capacity of the NOOXS tanks at Dataport – providing a smart visual accent in the process.
