Circular economy in action
The circular economy is becoming increasingly important in the office furniture industry. In light of growing environmental challenges, more and more companies are adopting sustainable practices. The goal of the circular economy is to eliminate or at least minimize waste and to keep materials in circulation for as long as possible.
A significant step towards a circular economy was achieved by the British Bene team in collaboration with the ethical disposal company Waste2Wonder. Together, they ensured that unused Bene furniture did not end up as waste but was donated to local schools and charitable organizations. This special project was carried out in partnership with long-time client Orbis and resulted in an impressive saving of approximately 40,000 kg of CO₂.
Added value for the environment and society
Such initiatives demonstrate how Bene, by implementing circular economy practices, can not only contribute to reducing waste and emissions but also have a positive social impact. The office furniture industry has the potential to take a leading role in sustainability through innovative solutions and partnerships.
